December 4, 2018 - As last week, today is the continuation of presentations. As I am sick today, I was not able to come to class this week.

November 27, 2018 - Today is the presentation for our hardware. The presentation was nerve wracking, more information could have been put out to the budget and project schedule. Overall, the powerpoint went according to plan except for the vibration motor not receiving an output.

November 20, 2018 - Regarding the PCB milestone, the enclosure case is to be done today. The case has not been made because the prototype lab was closed throughout the class, however the CorelDRAW has been completed. I am behind schedule as the enclosure case has not been made.

November 13, 2018 - The goal for today was to show the professor our hardware demonstration. There was a problem I encountered where the raspberry pi won’t turn on. I tried using the VGA to HDMI adapter method to see if it worked. The solution was to take out the PCB and then turn on the pi, then put the PCB on afterwards. Throughout the class, I’ve been trying to setup python and circuit python to control my i2c on the board. The process took longer than expected and wasn’t completed towards the end of the class. Outside work needs to be done to completely demonstrate the hardware. Adafruit’s tutorial has been used for reference regarding the installation of my haptic motor driver.

PCB

November 6, 2018 - Today’s task is the PCB soldering milestone. The gerber files I sent to the prototype lab did not receive the email, I had to send another email to the lab. I confirmed that they received the email now I am waiting to wait for the lab to make my PCB. I got the pin sockets for my raspberry pi and motor today. I pulled out some pins from the socket as the pins won’t be used for my circuit. Throughout half the class, the PCB has been made. I soldered the pins sockets onto the PCB breadboard. I still have the vias to work on which will be done outside of class.

October 30, 2018 - PCB designed Milestone created.

After completing the fritzing diagram for the sensor, I made the pcb layout for the diagram.

October 23, 2018 - Fritzing Diagram created.

Finished soldering the pins onto the Haptic Motor Drive, and connected it to a breadboard. Completed a fritzing diagram. Connected and detected the i2 chip on the raspberry pi with the declared address. Enabled VNC view on school computers from raspberry pi.
